Hi I'm Laney! I'm a current BFA graphic design student at Appalachian State University. I am looking to further develop my design portfolio and deepen my understanding of industry practices.

I have always been enamored with the maximalism that surrounded me in the early 2000s. The music, magazines, and pop culture that I grew up with have inspired me since girlhood. In my personal practice, I am interested in how past and present intertwine and I strive to create a feeling of nostalgia and represent the female experience.

I want my work to break out of the mold of today's trends through the use of unique content, combining of design styles, and mixed media. I hope to remind people not to take things too seriously and never let the current trends constrain their creativity.
